Ambassador Terms
Provider: Spareya s. r. o. · Effective from: 8 July 2026 · Last updated: 13 October 2026

1. Introduction
1.1 These Ambassador Terms govern the rights and obligations of people who take part in the Spareya ambassador programme (including sharing a personal invite link) within the "The Great Unlock" Campaign or related activities. They supplement the Terms of Service and the Campaign Rules. Capitalised terms have the meaning given in the Terms of Service and the Campaign Rules.
2. Defined terms
- Ambassador — an individual (18+) with an Account who helps spread Spareya.
- Referral link — a personal invite link the Ambassador can share, allowing credits to be awarded for verified Users they bring in. Credits for a User brought in are awarded when that User verifies before their first Meetup. A further credit is added for each of the Ambassador's own Meetups that both the Ambassador and at least one other participant confirm took place. Credits are recalculated on an ongoing basis, so credits for a User brought in lapse if that User deletes their Account or their Account is suspended. A referral from the Waitlist is linked to an Account in the App only if both are registered with the same email address.
- Ambassador recognition — the recognition associated with being an ambassador (see clause 4).
3. How to take part
3.1 A verified User (18+) may take part by sharing their Referral link or by meeting the conditions set for a given activity (ambassador status is currently earned by a User who brings in at least 30 verified Users whose Accounts are not suspended and who has at least 10 Meetups that both they and at least one other participant confirmed took place). Participation is voluntary and free; it requires no financial stake.
3.2 The Provider may grant, withhold or revoke ambassador status under these Terms (in particular for a breach), with reasonable justification and the procedure in clause 8.
4. Ambassador recognition and nature of the relationship
4.1 Being an ambassador is a rewarded relationship. For their activity an Ambassador may receive recognition that includes a benefit with a pecuniary value — in particular credits within the Service and access to extended (premium) functions of the Service when available.
4.2 The non-pecuniary part of the recognition consists of an ambassador badge, ambassador status and a place in the honour section of the Website (Wall of Fame).
4.3 Ambassador recognition and credits are never paid out in money, are not transferable to another person and cannot be exchanged for cash.
4.4 Tax note (informational). A non-cash benefit may be taxable for the Ambassador under the rules of their country; where statutory limits are exceeded, the Provider will fulfil any reporting obligation regarding the value of the non-cash benefit. This is not tax advice.
5. Promotion rules — what an Ambassador may and may not do
5.1 When promoting Spareya, an Ambassador always speaks truthfully and in line with the Community Rules. In particular they:
- must not make false or misleading claims about the Service;
- must not promise specific numerical guarantees that Spareya does not state publicly;
- must not spam, harass or use prohibited recruitment practices;
- must not act on the Provider's behalf beyond what is agreed (they are not its representative or employee).
5.2 An Ambassador must not, through promotion, infringe the rights of third parties (including intellectual property rights) or the rules of the platforms on which they promote.
5.3 Protection of minors. Spareya is a service for adults (18+). An Ambassador must not target promotion at persons under 18 or directly approach them or encourage them to register.
6. Advertising transparency (mandatory disclosure)
6.1 Being an ambassador is a rewarded collaboration (the Ambassador receives a benefit with a pecuniary value — clause 4). With every promotion the Ambassador must therefore clearly, legibly and at the very start of the content disclose its commercial nature so that it is unmistakably recognisable — for example with the word "advertisement" or "paid partnership with Spareya".
6.2 The disclosure must be in the language of the audience and visible without clicking "more". The hashtag "#ambassador" alone is not enough.
6.3 If a platform provides a tool to mark a paid partnership (e.g. "Paid partnership" on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube), the Ambassador is required to use it alongside the text disclosure.
6.4 The disclosure obligation also applies when sharing the Referral link and to content where a reward (credits/recognition) is tied to bringing in further Users.
6.5 The aim is compliance with the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive (2005/29/EC), the ban on hidden advertising and advertising transparency.
7. AI ambassadors and synthetic content
7.1 If the Provider uses an AI-generated ambassador or AI-generated promotional content (image, voice or video that appears to be a real person), it will always clearly and visibly mark it as created by artificial intelligence, in the language of the audience. Spareya never passes AI-generated content off as a real person.
7.2 Where the technical solution or platform allows, such content is also marked in a machine-readable way (metadata/watermark) in line with Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the AI Act, applicable from 2 August 2026).
7.3 If an Ambassador uses AI-generated content in promotion, the same marking obligation applies to them.
8. Personal data and referrals
8.1 The processing of an Ambassador's personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy and, within the Campaign, by the Campaign Rules. Exercising rights and questions: support@spareya.eu.
8.2 Referrals and third-party contacts. The Ambassador shares their Referral link on their own initiative and responsibility. When approaching others (by email, SMS or messages) they must comply with direct-marketing rules (the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC, and PECR 2003 in the UK): approach only people who have consented or with whom they have a legitimate relationship, and respect opt-outs. The Provider does not approach invited persons merely because a link was shared; the Ambassador must not hand the Provider third parties' contact details without their consent.
9. Duration, termination and revocation of status
9.1 An Ambassador may end their participation at any time.
9.2 The Provider may revoke or withhold ambassador status and the associated recognition for a breach of these Terms, the Terms of Service, the Community Rules or the Campaign Rules, or for fraudulent conduct (e.g. fictitious users). On revocation it gives a reasonable justification and allows the Ambassador to respond before a final decision, where circumstances permit.
9.3 Rights already acquired by an Ambassador who has demonstrably met the conditions (e.g. credits already awarded) remain unaffected by revocation of status, except in cases of fraud or abuse.
10. Governing law and consumers
10.1 These Ambassador Terms are governed by Slovak law, subject to the mandatory rules of the Ambassador's country of habitual residence if they are a consumer.
10.2 Consumers in the UK retain their mandatory rights under English/Scottish law, including the ability to bring claims before the relevant courts in the UK.
