Spareya for media
Spareya is an app that finds you a sports partner. One person or a whole group, in 137 sports, across Europe. Finding a partner and meetups are free forever for people and clubs. Here is everything important in one place.
About Spareya
Spareya is an app that finds you a sports partner, whether you are looking for one tennis opponent or a whole group for football. You choose from 137 sports. It is for adults only. Before their first meetup, everyone verifies once as a real person, and the map never shows where people are. We will switch on camera verification before the first district or area unlocks. Until then, no meetups with people take place. The exception is members-only training sessions of a verified club, where the club knows its own members. Finding a partner and meetups are free forever for individuals and clubs. The Great Unlock has been running across Europe since 1 August 2026. A district or area unlocks when one per cent of its residents join (but at least 200 and no more than 3,000). The My sport log and the map of sports venues work straight away and everywhere.
„I want to build a community where everyone finds a sports partner.“
Facts at a glance
- Spareya finds you a sports partner, one person or a whole group, in 137 sports.
- It launches across all of Europe at once through the Great Unlock. A district or area switches on at 1% of residents, but at least 200 and no more than 3,000.
- Waitlists are open now. From 1 August 2026, districts and areas that hit the threshold start unlocking.
- Europe is divided into more than 5,700 districts and areas, which compete to see which unlocks first.
- Finding a partner and meetups are free forever for people and clubs. A club gets a profile, recruiting and announcements for free. When we launch the seasonal leaderboard, clubs will compete in it for free as well.
- Safety is the foundation. It is for adults 18+ only, everyone verifies once as a real person before their first meetup, and the map never shows people or their location. We will switch on camera verification before the first district or area unlocks. Until then, no meetups with people take place. The exception is members-only training sessions of a verified club, where the club knows its own members.
- Available in 24 languages.
- We measure success by real in-person meetups, not clicks.
