Clubs

Your club in the app, for free

Every sports club or team can have its own profile on Spareya. People nearby find it on the map, see who the club is currently looking for, and can join. In the app, the club also manages its members, training sessions, announcements, attendance and chat.

You can register your club straight away, even if your district or area has not unlocked yet. Everything described here is free forever.

How to register your club

  1. You register the club

In the app you tap “Register a club” and fill in the name, the sport and the town.

  2. We verify the club

One piece of proof that the club exists is enough. It can be a website, a social media page or an email address on the club's domain. A registration number is optional. You must have a verified profile yourself and be at least 18. A person from our team checks the request.

  3. The club appears on the map

Once we have verified the club and you have entered its location, it appears on the map. It also appears in a district or area where meetups are not possible yet.

What the club gets in the app

Public club card
Description, website and contact. Anyone who taps your club on the map can see it, even without signing in. The contact is published only once its owner agrees.
Public announcement
With a public announcement you look for new members. People from the club's district or area see it in “Clubs are calling”. You can have one at a time and it is valid for up to 30 days. A verified club publishes it straight away.
Members-only announcements
Only club members can see them, and they get a notification in the app about every new announcement.
Training sessions
You add a training session with “Add a training session”. It can also repeat every week. A verified club can create members-only training sessions straight away, even before its district or area unlocks.
Attendance
If you turn on attendance, you record who was at the training session. Each member sees only their own attendance, and the session comes into their “My sport” as a suggestion to confirm.
Sections
If the club has several sections, each one has its own chat and training sessions.
Club chat
A shared chat for all members.
Recruitment
An overview of how many members the club has, how many of them are verified and how many joined in the last 30 days.
Members
You invite members through the invite link on the club card. You approve join requests in “Members”. Only people with a verified profile can join the club.
What the club gets in the app

Clubs and the unlock

A club does not unlock a district or area. It helps when its members join the waitlist themselves.

Founding club

A club that we verify before its district or area unlocks gets the “Founding club” label.

Clubs working with young people

If a club works with children and young people, verification is stricter. It needs a registration number, a person responsible for young people and agreement to the youth protection code.

Register your club
